INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Install a new gasket and the front exhaust pipe assembly, and temporarily tighten 3 new nuts.
Temporarily tighten a new bolt.
Tighten the 3 nuts.
Tighten the bolt.
INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Install the center exhaust pipe assembly with 3 new nuts and 3 support cushions.
Connect the 2 hoses.
INSTALL EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using a union nut wrench (14 mm), install the exhaust gas temperature sensor onto the center exhaust pipe assembly.
Note
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.
Do not damage the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
Connect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector.
INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using a union nut wrench (14 mm), install the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor onto the center exhaust pipe assembly.
Note
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.
Do not damage the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
Connect the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and clamp.
INSTALL EXHAUST RETARDER ASSEMBLY
Install 2 new gaskets and exhaust retarder assembly with 4 new bolts.
Connect the vacuum hose.
INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Connect the tail exhaust pipe assembly (for Front) to the exhaust pipe support.
Install the tail exhaust pipe assembly with 2 new nuts.
Connect the tail exhaust pipe assembly (for Rear) to the exhaust pipe support.
Install the tail exhaust pipe assembly with 2 new nuts.
INSPECT CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

Make sure that the centerlines of the front and rear parts of the bellows pipe are within 5 mm of each other both vertically and horizontally, and that the bellows pipe length is between 173 and 179 mm as shown in the illustration.
INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
