INTERCOOLER INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the intercooler assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR HOSE

    Note

    Thoroughly degrease the No. 2 air hose and the points where it connects to the vehicle before installation.


    1. Install 2 new hose clamps to the No. 2 air hose.

      Install the No. 2 air hose to the intake pipe and intercooler assembly and tighten the 2 hose clamps.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The direction of each hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

    3. Retighten the 2 hose clamps after waiting 10 minutes or more.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE PIPE

    Note

    Thoroughly degrease the No. 1 intake pipe and the points where it connects to the vehicle before installation.


    1. Install a new hose clamp to the No. 1 intake pipe.

      Install the No. 1 intake pipe with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The direction of each hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

    4. Retighten the hose clamp after waiting 10 minutes or more.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR HOSE

    Note

    Thoroughly degrease the No. 4 air hose and the points where it connects to the vehicle before installation.


    1. Install 2 new hose clamps to the No. 4 air hose.

      Install the No. 4 air hose to the venturi assembly and No. 1 intake pipe and tighten the 2 hose clamps.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The direction of each hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

    3. Retighten the 2 hose clamps after waiting 10 minutes or more.

      Torque:
      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }
