  1. INSPECT FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Inspect the level warning switch.

      1. A01CGPUE01

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Float at upper end Below 1 Ω
Float at lower end 10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel filter case.

    2. w/ Fuel Heater:

Check the resistance of the fuel filter assembly.

        *a Vacuum
        *b Seal

Seal the fuel inlet and apply a vacuum of 26 to 36 kPa (195 to 270 mmHg, 7.68 to 10.6 in.Hg) to the fuel outlet with a vacuum pump.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Terminal 2 - Body ground 20°C (68°F) Approx. 4 Ω

        Note

Values may vary depending on temperature and measurement method.

        Tech Tips

Perform the measurement with the fuel filter assembly installed in the vehicle.

  2. INSPECT FUEL PREFILTER ASSEMBLY

    1. w/ Fuel Heater:

Check the resistance of the fuel prefilter assembly.
