  1. INSPECT SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the suction control valve.

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Terminals Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 7.65 to 8.15 Ω

        Tech Tips

        The temperature indicated in "Condition" refers to the temperature of the suction control valve.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the supply pump assembly.

    2. Check the fuel temperature sensor.

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Terminals Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 -20°C (-4°F) 13.84 to 16.33 kΩ
        20°C (68°F) 2.32 to 2.59 kΩ
        80°C (176°F) 0.310 to 0.326 kΩ
        110°C (230°F) 0.1399 to 0.1435 kΩ

        If the result is not as specified, replace the supply pump assembly.
