FUEL INJECTOR INSPECTION

  1. INSPECT INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 0.37 to 0.57 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the injector assembly.

  2. CLEAN INJECTOR

    1. Remove sludge adhered to the terminal and its perimeter.

      Note

Do not use detergent. Detergent may penetrate causing electric failure.

      Tech Tips

      • If it is difficult to remove the sludge from inside the injection nozzle seat, remove it with a brush and detergent.

      • Perform a contact check using Prussian blue.

    2. Make sure that the inside of the injection nozzle seat is free of sludge or foreign matter.
