FUEL TANK REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY

  2. DRAIN FUEL


    1. Remove the drain plug and drain the fuel from the fuel tank.

      Note

      Collect the fuel in a container.

    2. Wipe the fuel tank and drain plug.

    3. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.

      Torque:
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

  3. DISCONNECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE CONNECTOR

      Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

    2. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  4. DISCONNECT FUEL EMISSION HOSE

      Disconnect the vent tube clamp from the fuel emission hose and fuel tank vent tube sub-assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the fuel emission hose from the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube sub-assembly.

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 MAIN TUBE FUEL HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 main tube fuel hose from the fuel tank vent tube sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 RETURN TUBE FUEL HOSE


    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 return tube fuel hose from the fuel tank vent tube sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Place an engine lifter under the fuel tank assembly.

      Remove the 4 nuts and disconnect the 2 No. 1 fuel tank bands.

    3. Remove the fuel tank assembly.

  8. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

      Remove the 5 screws, fuel sender gauge assembly and gasket.

  9. REMOVE FUEL CUT OFF VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CIM1E01

      Remove the 5 screws, No. 1 fuel evaporation tube sub-assembly, 2 gaskets, fuel cut off valve assembly and fuel tank support tube plate.

  10. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 5 bolts, fuel tank vent tube sub-assembly and gasket.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK BAND SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 pins and 2 No. 1 fuel tank bands.

  12. REMOVE FUEL TANK STAY


    1. Remove the 8 bolts, 8 nuts and 2 fuel tank stays.
