  1. INSPECT MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Using SST and a vacuum pump, measure the voltage of the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

      E36-5 (PIM) - E36-14 (E2) Vacuum of 40 kPa (300 mmHg) is applied 0.1 to 0.7 V
      Atmospheric pressure 0.8 to 1.5 V

      Pressure of 70 kPa (0.7 kgf/cm2) is applied

      		 1.6 to 2.3 V

      Pressure of 199 kPa (2.0 kgf/cm2) is applied

      		 3.3 to 3.4 V

      Tech Tips

      The above values were taken at the standard atmospheric pressure. These values may be affected by elevation and weather conditions. The standard atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa. Atmospheric pressure decreases by 1 kPa for every 100 m increase in elevation, and also changes due to the current weather conditions.
