CHECK COMPENSATION CODE
Note
When the ECM is replaced, all of the existing injector compensation codes and the learned value of the supply pump assembly must be input into the new ECM.
Using the intelligent tester, check that the ID codes registered in the injector assemblies installed on each cylinder match the ECM Click here.
If the codes do not match, register the correct codes and recheck the problem symptom by following the steps below.
Using the intelligent tester, manually correct the registered ID code Click here.
Check if the same symptom that occurred when the vehicle was brought in reoccurs.
Tech Tips
If the symptom does not reoccur, the problem may have been caused by improper registration of an ID code.
REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Detach the 13 clips and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
Disconnect each connector.
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY
Detach the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel box.
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX HOLDER
Remove the 2 screws <E> and 2 instrument panel box holders.
REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER
Detach the 4 clips and remove the lower instrument cover.
REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL
Remove the clip.
Remove the 3 bolts <D>.
Detach the 8 clips and remove the lower instrument panel.
REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX
Remove the bolt <G>.
Detach the 4 clips, claw and guide and remove the No. 1 instrument panel box.
Detach the 2 clamps.
REMOVE ECM
Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors.
Disconnect the 3 electric vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.
Remove the 3 bolts and ECM together with the electric vehicle control ECU assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and ECM from the electric vehicle control ECU assembly.
REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET
Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket.
REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET
Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket.
