ECM REMOVAL

  1. CHECK COMPENSATION CODE

    Note

    • When the ECM is replaced, all of the existing injector compensation codes and the learned value of the supply pump assembly must be input into the new ECM.

    1. Using the intelligent tester, check that the ID codes registered in the injector assemblies installed on each cylinder match the ECM Click here.

If the codes do not match, register the correct codes and recheck the problem symptom by following the steps below.

      1. Using the intelligent tester, manually correct the registered ID code Click here.

      2. Check if the same symptom that occurred when the vehicle was brought in reoccurs.

        Tech Tips

If the symptom does not reoccur, the problem may have been caused by improper registration of an ID code.
