DESCRIPTION
If the starter assembly is operated while the engine is running, the starter assembly and ring gear may be damaged. The starter cut relay prevents starter assembly operation while the engine is running.

INSPECT STARTER CUT RELAY
Inspect the starter cut relay Click here.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STARTER CUT RELAY - ECM, BODY GROUND)
Remove the starter cut relay.
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reinstall the starter cut relay.
Reconnect the ECM connector.
