ECD SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P0560

DTC Code DTC Name
P0560 System Voltage

DESCRIPTION

While the ignition switch is off, battery voltage is supplied to terminal BATT of the ECM for storing DTCs and fuel injection feedback learning values.

P0560
DTC Detection Drive Pattern DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
Ignition switch ON for 3 seconds

Condition (a) or (b) continues (1 trip detection logic):

(a) Significant decrease in battery voltage

(b) Open in back-up power source circuit

  • Open in back-up power source circuit

  • Low battery voltage

  • ECM

Tech Tips

If DTC P0560 appears, the ECM does not store other DTCs.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E39-23 (BATT) - Positive (+) battery terminal Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
E39-23 (BATT) or Positive (+) battery terminal - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    5. Reconnect the ECM connector.

    6. Reconnect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

    7. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    NG
    OK
  3. INSPECT BATTERY

    1. Check that the battery is not depleted.
