DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the throttle control motor operation.


      1. Remove the air hose from the diesel throttle body assembly.

      2. A01CJA3E01

        Disconnect the throttle control motor connector.

      3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        I12-2 (+B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 18 to 27 V

      4. Connect the throttle control motor connector.

      5. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      6. When the ignition switch is turned to off, make sure that the valve of the diesel throttle body assembly operates.

        OK
        The valve of the diesel throttle body assembly operates.

      7. Install the air hose to the diesel throttle body assembly.
