  • Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the ECD system.

  • The intelligent tester should be used in steps 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9.

    Tech Tips

    If the display indicates a communication error with the tester, inspect the DLC3.

    Note

    Be sure to use the 24 V DLC3 cable when connecting the intelligent tester to the DLC3. Using the normal DLC3 cable (12 V specification) will cause damage to the tester.
