  • "ECM (Engine)" is not displayed on the "Bus Check" screen.

  • "ECM Communication Stop Mode" in "DTC Communication Table" applies.

  • Power source or inside of ECM

  • ECM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the ECM connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E38-1 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-11 (E01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-12 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E39-23 (BATT) - Body ground Always 20 to 28 V
      E40-24 (IGSW) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 20 to 28 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
