OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER LH

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the outer mirror cover LH from the outer rear view mirror stay sub-assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      w/ Mirror Heater:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and outer rear view mirror stay sub-assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Claw
      *3 Spring
      *4 Outer Mirror LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the spring from the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the outer rear view mirror LH.

      Note

      Do not pull the outer rear view mirror LH with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

      Tech Tips

      Apply protective tape to the mirror body and screwdriver tip.

      w/ Mirror Heater:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  4. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the outer mirror cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Apply protective tape to the screwdriver tip.

  5. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01CIVG

      w/ Mirror Heater:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 6 screws, 3 outer mirror brackets and outer rear view mirror sub-assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror stay sub-assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR LH

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer mirror LH.

  7. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GASKET LH

      Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 4 screws and 2 outer rear view mirror gasket LH.
