REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

Put protective tape around the radiator grille.
Remove the screw.
Place your fingers at the locations indicated by the arrows in the illustration and detach the 2 clips.
Place your fingers at the locations indicated by the arrows in the illustration, pull the radiator grill straight off the vehicle to detach the 7 clips, and then remove the radiator grille.
REMOVE FRONT SIDE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Put protective tape around the front side panel sub-assembly LH.
Detach the 5 clips and remove the front side panel sub-assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SIDE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Use the same procedure for both front wiper arm head caps.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM LH
Disconnect the washer hose.
Remove the nut and front wiper arm LH.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM RH
Disconnect the washer hose.
Remove the nut and front wiper arm RH.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER SHAFT PACKING
Remove the 2 pieces of front wiper shaft packing.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
Put protective tape around the headlight assembly LH.

Remove the 3 bolts.
Detach the clip and guide.
Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamps, and remove the headlight assembly LH.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE FRONT PANEL COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the washer hose.

Remove the 5 bolts and 4 screws.
Detach the 5 clips and remove the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING LH

Using a knife, cut off the windshield outside moulding LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove the remaining moulding.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
If the vehicle body is damaged, repair the damaged portion by applying an anti-rust coating after removing the windshield glass.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTER UPPER MOULDING

Using a knife, cut off the outer windshield outer upper moulding as shown in the illustration.
Remove the remaining moulding.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
If the vehicle body is damaged, repair the damaged portion by applying an anti-rust coating after removing the windshield glass.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS

Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.

Place matchmarks on the windshield glass and vehicle body at the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Matchmarks do not need to be placed if not reusing the windshield glass.

Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and windshield glass as shown in the illustration.
Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the windshield glass.
Note
When separating the windshield glass, take care not to damage the paint or the interior and exterior ornaments.
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the windshield glass.
Using suction cups, remove the windshield glass.
Note
Be careful not to drop the windshield glass.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER
Using a scraper, remove the 2 windshield glass stoppers.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
CLEAN WINDSHIELD GLASS
Using a scraper, remove the damaged stoppers, dam and adhesive sticking to the glass.
Clean the outer circumference of the glass with non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass.
Even if using new glass, clean the glass with non-residue solvent.
CLEAN VEHICLE BODY
Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with cleaner.
Tech Tips
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
