FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Seat with Suspension Type Seat Cushion) DISASSEMBLY

  1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the clip and 2 guides, and then remove the reclining adjuster cover LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Pass the wire harness through the back side of the front seat assembly LH and disconnect the wire harness from the front seat assembly LH.

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH from the front seat assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CHZI

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and separate type front seatback assembly.

  5. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT LEVER

      Remove the snap ring as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the lumbar support lever.

  6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the hog rings.

    2. A01CGU2

      Remove the hog rings and roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. A01CGSI

      Remove the hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the separate type front seatback spring assembly from the separate type front seatback pad.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

      Remove the front seatback edge protector from the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. A01CGRL

      Remove the front No. 2 seatback edge protector from the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  10. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. A01CIQZ

      Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER RH

      Remove the front seat hinge cover RH as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01CI0L

      Remove the 2 bolts and lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HINGE PIN BUSH

      Remove the front seat hinge pin bush as shown in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the front seat track toward the rear of the seat.

    2. A01CHVX

      Remove the 2 nuts.

    3. A01CHDM

      Detach the No. 1 seat wire clamp.

    4. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the front seat track toward the front of the seat.

    5. A01CIGX

      Detach the No. 1 seat wire clamp.

    6. A01CIQE

      Remove the 2 nuts and separate type front seat cushion assembly.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01CGWG

      Bend the 2 separate type front seat cushion spring assembly claws upward.

    2. A01CJAXE01

      Remove the hog rings.

    3. Detach the hooks.

    4. Remove the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR

      Remove the 2 front seat cushion protectors.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING

      Detach the 2 hooks and remove the front seat cushion spring.

  18. REMOVE SEAT TRACK REINFORCEMENT

      Remove the 4 nuts and seat track reinforcement.

  19. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK REINFORCEMENT LH

      Remove the 5 nuts and inner seat track reinforcement LH.

  20. REMOVE UPPER SEAT SUSPENSION GUARD

      Using a clip remover, remove the 9 clips and upper seat suspension guard.

  21. REMOVE SEAT TRACK HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      *a 5 mm (0.197 in.)

      Put a 5 mm (0.197 in.) drill bit into a drill.

    2. Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the 5 mm (0.197 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

    3. Lightly press the drill against the 2 rivets, drill off the flanges of the 2 rivets, and remove the seat track handle sub-assembly LH.

      Note


      • Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.

      • Do not pry the rivet with the drill, because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivet or the drill bit.

      • Be careful of the drilled rivet as it may become hot.

    4. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled area.

  22. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 3 nuts and front outer seat track assembly LH.

  23. REMOVE SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and side seat belt assembly.

  24. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01CHB8

      Remove the 2 nuts, front inner seat track assembly LH and front inner lower seat track bracket LH.

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT WIRE


    1. A01CHES

      Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 1 seat wire.
