WIPER SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly)

      Check the front wiper switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        13 (INT1) - 11 (E) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        12 (+1) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        14 (+2) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        13 (INT1) - 11 (E) INT Below 1 Ω
        12 (+1) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        14 (+2) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        13 (INT1) - 11 (E) LO 10 kΩ or higher
        12 (+1) - 11 (E) Below 1 Ω
        14 (+2) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        13 (INT1) - 11 (E) HI 10 kΩ or higher
        12 (+1) - 11 (E) 10 kΩ or higher
        14 (+2) - 11 (E) Below 1 Ω

    2. Check the windshield washer switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        4 (WF) - 5 (EW) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        4 (WF) - 5 (EW) ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
