  1. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the turn signal flasher assembly connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (B) - Body ground Always 20 to 28 V

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

    3. Connect the turn signal flasher assembly connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (ER) - Body ground Turn signal switch (TURN R) OFF → ON 18 V or higher → 0.5 V or or less
      Hazard warning switch OFF → ON 18 V or higher → 0.5 V or or less
      2 (LR) - Body ground Turn signal switch (TURN R) OFF → ON 1.5 V or or less → 1.5 V or or less ←→ 18 V or higher (60 to 120 times per minute)
      Hazard warning switch OFF → ON 1.5 V or or less → 1.5 V or or less ←→ 18 V or higher (60 to 120 times per minute)
      6 (EL) - Body ground Turn signal switch (TURN L) OFF → ON 18 V or higher → 0.5 V or or less
      Hazard warning switch OFF → ON 18 V or higher → 0.5 V or or less
      3 (LL) - Body ground Turn signal switch (TURN L) OFF → ON 1.5 V or or less → 1.5 V or or less ←→ 18 V or higher (60 to 120 times per minute)
      Hazard warning switch OFF → ON 1.5 V or or less → 1.5 V or or less ←→ 18 V or higher (60 to 120 times per minute)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the turn signal flasher assembly.
