HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH


    1. Check the voltage.

        Component with harness connected

        (Headlight Leveling Switch)

        Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 (B) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (ILL-).

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        (Battery voltage is 12 V)

        (0.5) 1.8 to 2.52 V
        1 2.76 to 3.48 V

        2 4.68 to 5.4 V
        (2.5) 5.64 to 6.36 V
        3 6.6 to 7.32 V
        (3.5) 7.56 to 8.28 V
        4 8.52 to 9.24 V
        (4.5) 9.48 to 10.2 V
        5 10.44 to 11.16 V

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

    2. Check the illumination.

        Component without harness connected

        (Headlight Leveling Switch)

        Apply battery voltage (24 V) to the connector and check the illumination condition.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.
