HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH INSPECTION

INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

1. Inspect the light control switch.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 13 (T) - 1 (EL) Light control switch off 10 kΩ or higher 9 (H) - 1 (EL) 13 (T) - 1 (EL) Light control switch tail Below 1 Ω 13 (T) - 1 (EL) Light control switch head Below 1 Ω 9 (H) - 1 (EL)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

2. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (HU) - 4 (ED) 4 (ED) - 1 (EL) Headlight dimmer switch flash Below 1 Ω 2 (HL) - 4 (ED) Headlight dimmer switch low beam Below 1 Ω 3 (HU) - 4 (ED) Headlight dimmer switch hi beam Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

3. Inspect the turn signal switch.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 5 (TR) - 7 (E) Turn signal switch right turn Below 1 Ω 5 (TR) - 7 (E) Turn signal switch neutral 10 kΩ or higher 6 (TL) - 7 (E) 6 (TL) - 7 (E) Turn signal switch left turn Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

4. Inspect the fog light switch.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 11 (BFG) - 10 (LFG) Front fog light switch off 10 kΩ or higher 11 (BFG) - 10 (LFG) Front fog light switch on Below 1 Ω 12 (B) - 10 (LFG) Rear fog light switch off 10 kΩ or higher 12 (B) - 10 (LFG) Rear fog light switch on Below 1 Ω 12 (B) - 11 (BFG) Rear fog light switch off 10 kΩ or higher 12 (B) - 11 (BFG) Rear fog light switch on Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.
