FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. PRECAUTION (for Driver Side)

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Driver Side)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Remove the 4 screws and front door scuff plate LH.

  4. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the lower quarter trim panel assembly LH.

  5. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP (for Driver Side)

    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH floor anchor.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Using a clip remover, detach the 2 claws and open the shoulder anchor cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly LH shoulder anchor.

    4. for Driver Side:

        *1 Lock Plate

        Pull the lock plate to release the connector lock.

      2. Disconnect the pretensioner connector from the front seat outer belt retractor.

        Note

        When handling the pretensioner connector, take care not to damage the pretensioner wire harness.

      3. Remove the 2 bolts.

      4. Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    5. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Remove the 2 bolts.

      2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

  7. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUST COVER (for Semi-trim)

    1. Apply protective tape around the shoulder belt anchor adjust cover.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and remove the shoulder belt anchor adjust cover.

  8. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER (for Semi-trim)

    1. Detach the 4 hooks and remove the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover from the shoulder belt anchor adjust cover.

  9. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for Full-trim)

    1. Detach the 5 clips and remove the front quarter trim panel assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER (for Full-trim)

    1. Detach the 4 hooks and remove the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover from the front quarter trim panel assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
