  1. REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the compressor with magnet clutch assembly in a vise.

      Using SST, remove the bolt, magnet clutch washer and magnet clutch hub.

      Tech Tips

      There is no set number of magnet clutch washers because they are used for adjustment.

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

      Note

      Take care not to damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

      Detach the clamp.

    5. Remove the screw and disconnect the stator wire.

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
