AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    A01CHZJ

    1. Install the heater radiator unit sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

      Install the No. 1 cooler thermistor as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Be sure to insert the sensor only once because reinserting it will not allow it to be firmly secured.

      • When reusing the evaporator, insert the sensor one row next to the one that was used previously (*a in the illustration).

      • After inserting the sensor, do not apply excessive force to the wire.

      • Directly insert the sensor until the edge of the plastic case "*1" comes into contact with the evaporator "*2".

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

      Note

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

  4. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

    1. Install the cooler expansion valve.

  5. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and to the fitting surface of the cooler expansion valve and the air conditioner tube assembly.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner tube assembly.

      Note

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

    3. A01CI85

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the conditioner tube assembly with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      Torque:
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

    4. A01CH8L

      Install the cooler evaporator to the heater case.

    5. A01CIKW

      Attach the guide to install the lower heater case.

    6. Tighten the 8 screws.

      Install the plate with the 2 screws.

      Attach the clamp to install the connector to the lower heater case.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER UNIT DRAIN HOSE

    1. Install the No. 1 cooler unit drain hose.

  7. INSTALL BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the blower motor with fan sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  8. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the screw.

    2. A01CJ1T

      Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the 2 screws.

  9. INSTALL COOLER UNIT COVER FILTER (for Integrated Type)

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the cooler unit cover filter.

  10. INSTALL AIR FILTER (for Separate Type)

    1. Install the air filter.

      Note

      Install the air filter with its UP marks oriented in the correct direction.

  11. INSTALL AIR FILTER CASE (for Separate Type)

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the air filter case.

  12. INSTALL BLOWER RESISTOR

    A01CGYV

    1. Install the blower resistor with the 2 screws.
