VANE PUMP REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    CAUTION:

    Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

      Loosen the radiator drain cock plug and engine drain plug.

    2. Remove the radiator cap, then drain the coolant.

    3. Close the radiator drain cock plug.

    4. Tighten the engine drain plug.

      Torque:
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf, for the engine drain plug }
  2. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR PIPE WITH RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET

      Loosen the clamp and disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.

    2. A01CHRH

      Remove the 2 bolts and radiator pipe with radiator hose outlet.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the radiator pipe.

  4. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED HOSE

    1. Disconnect the pressure feed hose from the oil pump to gear box tube.

  5. REMOVE OIL PUMP TO GEAR BOX TUBE

      Remove the union bolt and gasket, and disconnect the oil pump to gear box tube from the vane pump.

    2. A01CIZCE02

      Remove 2 bolts and nut, and disconnect the oil pump to gear box tube from the timing gear cover and No. 1 hose support bracket.

    3. Remove the oil pump to gear box tube.

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 oil reservoir to pump hose from the power steering suction port union.

  7. REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION

    1. Remove the sensor harness clamp from the power steering suction port union.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and power steering suction port union from the vane pump and setting plate.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the power steering suction port union.

  8. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

    A01CHME

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the vane pump assembly.
