      Three Bond 1344 or equivalent to the threads of the exhaust brake neutral switch assembly.

      Sealant
      Three Bond 1141J or equivalent

      Note


      • Completely remove any old sealant from the threads of the exhaust brake neutral switch assembly.

      • Completely remove any old sealant from the threads of the shift lever housing sub-assembly.

      Using SST, install the exhaust brake neutral switch assembly.

      SST
      09922-10010
      Torque:
      without SST
      34 N*m  { 350 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf }
      with SST
      20 N*m  { 200 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (0.708 in.). If using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length that is not 180 mm (0.708 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification Click here.

      • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.

    3. Connect the exhaust brake neutral switch connector and attach the clamp.
