POWER STEERING LINK REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS

  2. REMOVE STEERING DRAG LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CGZEE01

      Remove the 2 cotter pins and 2 nuts.

    2. Using SST, disconnect the drag link from the pitman arm.

      Using SST, disconnect the drag link from the steering knuckle arm LH.

  3. REMOVE TIE ROD ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 cotter pins and 2 nuts.

    2. A01CJ7TE01

      Using SST, disconnect the tie rod assembly from the knuckle arm LH.

      Using SST, disconnect the tie rod assembly from the knuckle arm RH.

  4. REMOVE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Loosen the lock nut.

    2. Remove the tie rod end sub-assembly and lock nut.

  5. REMOVE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE ARM LH

    1. Remove the cotter pin and nut.

    2. Using a hammer, remove the steering knuckle arm LH from the steering knuckle.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the threads of the steering knuckle arm LH.

      Tech Tips

      To prevent damage to the threads of the steering knuckle arm LH, temporarily install the nut (reversed) as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE ARM RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
