VANE PUMP REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  3. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the outlet radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CHDF

      Remove the 2 bolts and radiator pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring.

  5. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED HOSE

    1. Disconnect the pressure feed hose from the oil pump to gear box tube.

  6. REMOVE OIL PUMP TO GEAR BOX TUBE

      Remove the union bolt and gasket, and disconnect the oil pump to gear box tube from the vane pump assembly.

      Remove the nut and disconnect the oil pump to gear box tube from the No. 1 hose support bracket.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts, oil pump to gear box tube and No. 1 hose support bracket from the timing gear cover.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 oil reservoir to pump hose from the power steering suction port union.

  8. REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION

    A01CGN7

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and power steering suction port union from the vane pump and setting plate.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the power steering suction port union.

  9. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the vane pump assembly.
