REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 cylinder boots.
Note
Do not damage the inner cylinder or cylinder grooves.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON
Place a shop rag or a piece of cloth between the disc brake pistons and the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Using compressed air, remove one of the disc brake pistons from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Press the removed piston to the cylinder with enough force, and place a wooden block to prevent the piston from flying out. Then remove the other piston with compressed air.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the pistons when using compressed air.
Note
Do not spatter the brake fluid.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 piston seals from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Note
Do not damage the inner cylinder or cylinder groove.
