VACUUM PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE CHECK VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Mount the vacuum pump assembly in a vise as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the vacuum pump assembly.

      Remove the check valve sub-assembly and O-ring.

  2. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP END COVER

      Using a 5 mm pin punch and a hammer, tap out the 2 straight pins.

    2. A01CGKH

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Remove the end cover and O-ring.

  3. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ROTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CIUS

      Remove the rotor together with the 5 blades.

      Note

      Be careful not to drop the blades.

  4. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BLADE


    1. Remove the 5 blades from the rotor.

  5. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP GEAR


    1. A01CI8M

      Mount the gear in a vise.

      Note

      Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the gear.

    2. Remove the gear lock nut.

    3. Remove the gear and woodruff key.

  6. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP SHAFT

      Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.

    2. A01CHM7

      Using a plastic hammer, tap out the shaft.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BEARING


    1. A01CH4N

      Using a 17 mm socket wrench and press, press out the bearing.
