EASY AND SMOOTH START SYSTEM FREEZE FRAME DATA

  1. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA

Replace the normal DLC3 cable (12 V specification) for the intelligent tester with the 24 V DLC3 cable.

    Note

Be sure to use the 24 V DLC3 cable when connecting the intelligent tester to the DLC3. Using the normal DLC3 cable (12 V specification) will cause damage to the tester

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Check the freeze frame data by following the prompts on the intelligent tester display.

      Tech Tips

      • The engine conditions (ECU data) when DTCs were stored can be checked (chronological freeze frame data).

      • Compare the reported malfunction symptoms against the DTC list.

      • After performing repairs, perform a confirmation test based on the driving conditions confirmed above.
