EASY AND SMOOTH START SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. FUNCTION OF COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Speed Sensor Detects the wheel speed of each of the 4 wheels.
    Clutch Pedal Stroke Sensor Assembly Detects the amount of clutch pedal depression.
    Neutral Position Switch Assembly Detects the neutral position.
    Parking Brake Switch Assembly Detects parking brake operation.
    Door Courtesy Switch Detects doors opened or closed.
    ES Start Timing Switch Assembly Start/Release Switch Switches between ES start system started and released.
    Release Timing Switch Adjusts release timing of brake fluid pressure.
    Brake Actuator Assembly Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor Detects pressure of brake fluid from master cylinder.
    Solenoid Valves During ES start control, maintains or releases brake fluid pressure.
    Skid Control ECU During ES start control, controls master cylinder cut solenoid valve based on signals from electric vehicle control ECU assembly.
    Electric Vehicle Control ECU Assembly ES Start System

    Performs ES start control based on signals from each type of sensor, switch, and ECU, and sends brake fluid pressure maintain/release signals to the skid control ECU.

    Also processes each type of signal, and performs exhaust retarder control, engine speed control and eco driving indicator light control.
    Combination Meter Assembly ES Start Indicator Light

    Illuminates during system operation.

    Blinks when a malfunction has occurred in the system.
    Buzzer Informs the driver about system operation status and malfunctions.
