REAR SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Click here

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

    Tech Tips

    The thread direction of the hub nuts for the LH side is opposite to that of the RH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR

      Remove the nut and disconnect the 2 rear speed sensor connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 clamps and 3 bolts from the differential carrier.

      Remove the bolt, clamp and rear speed sensor from the axle hub.

      Note


      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

      • Clean the rear speed sensor contact surfaces and installation hole each time the speed sensor is removed.
