FRONT LEAF SPRING INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 SPRING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 2 spring bracket sub-assembly with the 3 bolts and 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf }

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Temporarily install the front spring assembly LH to the No. 2 spring bracket sub-assembly with the 2 nuts, front spring shackle outer plate and front No. 2 spring shackle sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the front No. 2 spring shackle sub-assembly from outside the vehicle.

    2. Temporarily install the front spring assembly LH to the No. 1 spring bracket sub-assembly with the bolt, washer and nut.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the bolt from outside the vehicle.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SPRING U BOLT


    1. Raise the jack so that the front spring center bolt of the front spring assembly LH is aligned with the hole of the front axle I-beam.

    2. Install the front No. 1 spring bumper sub-assembly to the front spring assembly LH, and then install the 2 front spring U bolts to the front axle I-beam.

    3. Temporarily install the 4 nuts and front shock absorber lower bracket LH to the front spring U bolts.

    4. While making sure the protrusion amount of the right and left U bolts is the same, tighten the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      195 N*m  { 1988 kgf*cm, 144 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure the protrusion amount of the right and left U bolts is the same.

  4. CONNECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the front shock absorber assembly LH to the front shock absorber lower bracket LH with the 2 washers and nut.

      Torque:
      76 N*m  { 775 kgf*cm, 56 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    515 N*m  { 5252 kgf*cm, 380 ft.*lbf }

  7. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Remove the jack from the front axle I-beam.

    2. Press down on the vehicle several times to stabilize the suspension.

  8. TIGHTEN FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Tighten the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      180 N*m  { 1835 kgf*cm, 133 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Hold the bolts in place while tightening the nuts for the front side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SPRING PIN SUPPORT


    1. Install the front spring pin support with the bolt.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
