TILT CAB MOUNTING LOCK REMOVAL

Note

After tilting up the cab, lock the tilt cab mounting lock assembly LH and RH.


  1. TILT UP CAB

    CAUTION:


    • Make sure that the vehicle is on a level surface before tilting the cab up.

    • Make sure that all the doors are closed before tilting the cab up.

    • Make sure that nobody is inside or near the cab when tilting it up.

    • Be sure to have 2 people tilt the cab up when a heavy object such as a roof rack or cargo carrier is installed to the cab.

    • Be sure to remove anything set on top of the cab before tilting it up.

    • Make sure that the cab is securely locked in place after it is tilted up.

    • Make sure that there are no tools, cloths, etc. left in the engine room before tilting the cab back down.

    • Make sure that the cab is securely locked in place after tilting it back down.

  2. REMOVE TILT CAB LOCK CONNECTING PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut.

    2. Remove the clip, plate washer and tilt cab lock connecting pipe sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE TILT CAB LOCK HANDLE ROD

      *2 Tilt Cab Lock Bracket Sub-Assembly (Cab Mounting Safety Latch Assembly)
      *3 Tilt Cab Lock Handle Rod

      Rotate the tilt cab lock support as shown in the illustration to release the lock.

    2. Remove the tilt cab lock handle rod.

  4. REMOVE TILT CAB LOCK SUPPORT

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the tilt cab lock support.

  5. REMOVE CAB MOUNTING SAFETY LATCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and cab mounting safety latch assembly.

  6. REMOVE TILT CAB MOUNTING LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the tilt cab mounting lock assembly LH.

  7. REMOVE TILT CAB MOUNTING LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

    2. Detach the guide and remove the tilt cab mounting lock assembly RH.
