FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Seat with Suspension Type Seat Cushion) REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT WIRE


    1. A01CHES

      Attach the 4 clamps to install the No. 1 seat wire.

  2. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the front inner seat track assembly LH and front inner lower seat track bracket LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      for Nut A
      18 N*m  { 185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
      for Nut B
      40 N*m  { 410 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY

      Install the side seat belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 410 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the side seat belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the front outer seat track assembly LH with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL SEAT TRACK HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Temporarily install the seat track handle sub-assembly LH.

    2. Install a nose piece to an air riveter or hand riveter.

    3. Insert the mandrel part of a new rivet into the nose piece.

      Using the riveter, install the seat track handle sub-assembly LH with 2 new rivets as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

      Note

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the seat track.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the seat track.

  6. INSTALL UPPER SEAT SUSPENSION GUARD


    1. Install the upper seat suspension guard with the 9 clips.

  7. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. Install the inner seat track reinforcement LH with the 5 nuts.

      Torque:
      9.3 N*m  { 95 kgf*cm, 82 in.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL SEAT TRACK REINFORCEMENT


    1. Install the seat track reinforcement with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      9.3 N*m  { 95 kgf*cm, 82 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING


    1. Attach the 2 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR

      Install the 2 front seat cushion protectors.

  11. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    2. Install the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      Attach the hooks.

    4. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly with new hog rings.

      Bend the 2 separate type front seat cushion spring assembly claws downward.

  12. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the front seat track toward the front of the seat.

      Install the separate type front seat cushion assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01CIGX

      Attach the No. 1 seat wire clamp.

    4. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH and move the front seat track toward the rear of the seat.

    5. A01CHVX

      Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    6. A01CHDM

      Attach the No. 1 seat wire clamp.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HINGE PIN BUSH


    1. A01CGWS

      Install the front seat hinge pin bush as shown in the illustration.

  14. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.2 N*m  { 73 kgf*cm, 64 in.*lbf }

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER RH


    1. A01CHK7

      Install the front seat hinge cover RH as shown in the illustration.

  16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

  17. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. Remove the front No. 2 seatback edge protector remaining on the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

      Install a new front No. 2 seatback edge protector as shown in the illustration.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. Install the front seatback edge protector to the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly to the separate type front seatback pad.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with new hog rings.

  21. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT LEVER

      Install the snap ring to the lumbar support lever.

      Install the lumbar support lever to the separate type front seatback assembly.

  22. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

    2. Tighten the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      for Bolt
      40 N*m  { 410 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }
      for Nut
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    A01CIR5E01

    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH to the front seat assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding part of the front seat assembly LH.

      Pass the wire harness through the back side of the front seat assembly LH and attach the 2 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness to the front seat assembly LH.

  24. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH


    1. Attach the clip and 2 guides to install the reclining adjuster cover LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  25. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH


    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.
