FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VIMP

      Engage the 3 hooks to install the front bumper energy absorber sub-assembly.

    2. A01VHBJ

      Install the 6 screws, 6 clips and grommet.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01VIDV

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front side member bracket sub-assembly LH.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VJ6K

      Install the windshield washer jar assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET


    1. A01VM03

      Install the front No. 1 bumper stone deflector bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the opposite side.

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A01VLCC

      Install the front bumper reinforcement with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the wire harness.

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION


    1. Clean the attachment surface.


      1. Using an infrared light, heat the adhesive remaining on the front bumper reinforcement.

        CAUTION:

        Do not burn yourself with the heated front bumper reinforcement or infrared light.

      2. Using a piece of cloth, rub the remaining adhesive off the front bumper reinforcement.

      3. Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.

    2. Remove the backing paper of the double-sided tape of a new front bumper reinforcement extension.

      Engage the 2 claws and clamp to install the front bumper reinforcement extension.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A01VFQW

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front bumper energy absorber.

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL


    1. A01VLID

      Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 2 radiator side air seal.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 radiator side air seal side.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH


    1. A01VKJF

      Engage the 2 claws to install the radiator support extension LH.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER


    1. A01VFWX

      Install the radiator support opening cover with the 4 clips.

  14. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VM22

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the thermistor assembly.

  15. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A01VIPR

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front bumper side retainer LH.

  16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Engage the 5 claws to install the fog light cover LH.

  21. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)

      Engage the 5 claws to install the fog light cover LH.

      Engage the 9 claws to install the front bumper moulding cover.

  26. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM


    1. A01VM0B

      Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  27. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A01VG1M

      Engage the 11 claws to install the radiator grille.

    2. A01VLOQ

      Install the clip.

  28. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL


    1. A01VEXI

      Engage the 14 clips to install the hood to radiator grille seal.

  29. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER MOULDING LH


    1. A01VJKF

      Engage the guide and 6 claws to install the radiator grille lower moulding LH.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  30. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER MOULDING RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  31. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH (for 1KR-FE)


    1. A01VLPK

      Engage the 3 claws to install the front bumper side seal RH.

  32. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A01VFYU

      Engage the 2 guides and 27 claws to install the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

    2. A01VKCB

      Install the 2 screws.

  33. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER


    1. A01VLT2

      Engage the hook.

    2. Turn the front bumper hole cover, and engage the 3 claws to install the front bumper hole cover.
