FRONT BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL


    1. A0048J1

      Disengage the 14 clips to remove the hood to front end panel seal.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A004AW1

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Remove the 3 clips.

    3. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 guides to remove the radiator grille.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER (for Type A)

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides.

    2. A0049E6

      Disengage the hook to remove the front bumper hole cover.

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER (for Type B)


    1. A0048J0

      Turn the front bumper hole cover and disengage the 3 claws.

    2. A0049SW

      Disengage the hook to remove the front bumper hole cover.

  5. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 26 claws and 2 guides to remove the lower radiator grille sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH (for 1KR-FE)


    1. A004AH2

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front bumper side seal RH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH


    1. A004B8W

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front bumper side moulding LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

      Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides to remove the radiator grill (or front panel) emblem.

  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

      Disengage the claw to remove the front fender liner retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

  11. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light)

  13. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH (w/ Fog Light)

      Remove the outside moulding retainer.

      Disengage the 8 claws and guide to remove the fog light cover LH.

  14. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH (w/ Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH (w/ Fog Light)

      Disengage the 6 claws to remove the fog light mounting bracket LH.

  16. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH (w/ Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)

      Disengage the 8 claws and guide to remove the front bumper hole cover LH.

  18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o Fog Light)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front bumper side retainer LH.

  23. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness.

    3. Disengage the clamp to remove the thermistor assembly.

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH


    1. A0048PM

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front radiator side air guide plate LH.

  27. REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  29. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION

      *a Double-sided Tape

      Disengage the clamp and 2 claws.

    2. Pull out the front bumper reinforcement extension, and then remove the front bumper reinforcement extension while peeling off the double-sided tape.

  35. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

      Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.

    2. A00486L

      Remove the 6 bolts.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and front bumper reinforcement.

  36. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET

      Remove the 2 nuts and front No. 1 bumper stone deflector bracket.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

  37. SEPARATE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY


    1. A0047FM

      Remove the bolt and separate the windshield washer jar assembly.

  38. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A0049QX

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front side member bracket sub-assembly LH.

  39. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  40. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 6 screws, 6 clips and grommet.

      Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the front bumper energy absorber sub-assembly.
