DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives information signals from the telltale light assembly (hazard warning signal switch).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

      OFF: Hazard warning signal switch off

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the F3 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F3-1 (B) - Body Ground Always 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F93 telltale light assembly (hazard warning signal switch) connector.

    2. Disconnect the F3 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F93-4 (TB) - F3-3 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      F93-5 (E) - Body Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F93-4 (TB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. REPLACE TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH)


    1. Temporarily replace the telltale light assembly (hazard warning signal switch) with a new functioning one Click here.

  5. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.
