PROCEDURE
CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
When reusing the back door glass:
Using a scraper, remove any remaining adhesive residue from the back door glass.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Clean the outer circumference of the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Even if using a new back window glass, clean the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP RH
Using a brush or sponge, coat the installation area of the new back window glass clip RH with primer G.
Note
Do not apply too much primer G.
Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new back window glass clip RH.
Note
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

Install the back window glass clip RH to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.
Note
Install the back window glass clip RH after primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 minutes).
Remove the adhesive tape.
INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP LH
Using a brush or sponge, coat the installation area of the new back window glass clip LH with primer G.
Note
Do not apply too much primer G.
Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new back window glass clip LH.
Note
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

Install the back window glass clip LH to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.
Note
Install the back window glass clip LH after primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 minutes).
Remove the adhesive tape.
INSTALL BACK WINDOW GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
Using a brush or sponge, coat the installation area of a new back window glass adhesive dam with primer G.
Note
Do not apply too much primer G.
Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back window glass adhesive dam.
Note
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
Install the new back window glass adhesive dam to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

Note

INSTALL BACK WINDOW LOWER MOULDING
Using a brush or sponge, coat the installation area of a new back window lower moulding with primer G.
Note
Do not apply too much primer G.
Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back window lower moulding.
Note
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
Install the new back window lower moulding to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

Note
Install the back window lower moulding after primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 minutes).
INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS
Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
Using a knife, cut away excess adhesive on the contact surface of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
Note
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with a piece of cloth saturated with non-residue solvent.
Back door glass preliminary installation procedures:
Install the suction cups to the back door glass.
Temporarily place the back door glass onto the vehicle body and set it so that the gap between the body and upper portion and sides of the back door glass is even.
When using a new back door glass:
Place matchmarks on the back door glass and vehicle body at the locations indicated in the illustration.

When reusing the back door glass:
Check the position of the matchmarks and make adjustments.
Remove the back door glass.
Using a brush, coat the installation surfaces on the back door panel with primer M.
Note
Do not coat the adhesive with primer M.
Do not apply too much primer M.
Be careful when applying primer M to the panel joints and spot welds.
Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of adhesive with primer G as shown in the illustration.

Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle as shown in the illustration.

Load the sealer gun with the cartridge.
Apply adhesive to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

Note
Apply the adhesive after primer G has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 minutes).
Install the back door glass.

Protective Tape |
Using suction cups, position the back door glass so that the matchmarks are aligned and install the back door glass.
Note
Install the back door glass after primer M on the vehicle body has been allowed to dry (approximately 3 minutes).
Lightly press the front surface of the back door glass to ensure that the back door glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Press the glass with force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22.0 lbf) or more.
Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
Hold the back door glass using protective tape until the applied adhesive becomes hard.
Tech Tips
Follow the instructions supplied by the adhesive manufacturer or in the corresponding instruction manual for the minimum amount of time necessary to wait before driving the vehicle.
Connect the 2 connectors.

INSPECT FOR LEAK
After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.
If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.
Remove the protective tape.
