REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (except GRMN)
REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for GRMN)
REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 back door panel protector.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

Protective Tape |
Apply protective tape to the area around the installation position of the back door glass on the back door panel to prevent it from being scratched.

Place matchmarks on the back door glass and back door panel at the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Matchmarks are not necessary if the back door glass is not going to be reused.
Disconnect the 2 connectors.

| *a | Piano Wire |
Insert a piano wire at the locations as shown in the illustration.
Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects that can serve as handles.
Cut the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass.
Note
When separating the back door glass, take care not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.
When cutting the adhesive, take care not to damage the connectors on the back door glass.
Do not pull the piano wire in a vertical direction, but pull it in a horizontal direction.
Using suction cups, disengage the back window glass clip RH and back window glass clip LH and remove the back door glass.
Note
To prevent the back door glass from falling when performing this operation, be sure to hold the back door glass using suction cups.
Be careful not to drop the back door glass.
Leave as much adhesive on the back door panel as possible when removing the back door glass.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the back window glass adhesive dam.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back window glass adhesive dam with a new one.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOWER MOULDING
When reusing the back door glass:

Using a scraper, remove the back window lower moulding.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back window lower moulding.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP LH
When reusing the back door glass:

Adhesive Tape |
Apply adhesive tape to the glass at the edges of the back window glass clip as shown in the illustration to mark the installation position of the back window glass clip.
Tech Tips
Because the adhesive tape will be used to position the back window glass clip during installation, do not remove the adhesive tape.
Using a scraper, remove the back window glass clip LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the back window glass clip LH with a new one.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP RH
When reusing the back door glass:

Adhesive Tape |
Apply adhesive tape to the glass at the edges of the back window glass clip as shown in the illustration to mark the installation position of the back window glass clip.
