ROOF HEADLINING(for TMC Made 5 Door) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VLFF

      Pull the roof headlining back into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

    2. Engage the 2 hooks and install the roof headlining.

    3. Install the 3 clips.

    4. Engage the 2 claws.

    5. for front pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    6. for front pillar LH side:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    7. for rear pillar RH side:


      1. Engage the 3 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear center seat outer belt with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 claws and close the slip joint cover.

  3. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure to install all assist grips.


    1. Engage the 2 springs and install the assist grip.

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 assist grip covers.

  5. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER


    1. A01VGGXE02

      Engage the 2 claws and turn the visor holder counterclockwise 45° to install it.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  6. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.

    2. Install the visor shaft into the visor holder.

  7. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  8. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH


    1. Pass the rear seat 3 point type outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish.

    2. Engage the 4 clips and install the roof side inner garnish.

  9. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  10. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Engage the 3 clips.

    2. Engage the guide and the 4 claws and install the deck trim side panel.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

  11. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt.

    2. Tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  14. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. Engage the 4 guides and the 4 claws install the rear floor finish plate.

  15. INSTALL JACK HANDLE

  16. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  17. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH


    1. Remove the piece of cloth or nylon.

    2. for 6 speakers:


      1. Connect the connector.

      Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is not damaged.

      Note


      • If there is any damage, replace the garnish clip with a new one.

      • When a garnish clip is being replaced, make sure to install it in the direction shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 2 guides.

    5. Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and install it to the front pillar garnish.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the needle-nosed pliers tip before use.

      Engage the clip and the front pillar garnish clip to install the front pillar garnish.

  18. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  19. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH


    1. Pass the front seat outer belt through the slit in the center pillar upper garnish.

    2. Engage the clip and install the center pillar upper garnish with 2 screws.

  20. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  21. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH


    1. Engage the 2 clips and the 2 claws.

    2. Engage the 2 guides and install the center pillar lower garnish.

  22. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Install the floor end of the front seat outer belt with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  25. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Align the paint mark on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip with the flange position on the vehicle body and install the weatherstrip.

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

    1. Engage the guide and the 5 claws and install the rear door scuff plate.

  29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      Align the paint mark on the front door opening trim weatherstrip with the flange position on the vehicle body and install the weatherstrip.

    1. Engage the 8 claws and install the front door scuff plate.
