CONDENSER(for 2NR-FKE) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the cooler condenser assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If a new cooler condenser assembly is installed, add compressor oil to the cooler condenser assembly as follows.

      Capacity
      Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.)
      Compressor oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator upper support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. Engage the 2 clamps to install the hood lock control cable sub-assembly.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps to install the wire harness.

    4. Connect the connector.

  3. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HFC-134a(R134a))


    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the liquid pipe sub-assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
    3. Install the O-ring onto the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

    4. Install the liquid pipe sub-assembly onto the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  4. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))


    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.

    2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
    3. Install the O-ring onto the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

    4. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A onto the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  5. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE


    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the hose joint.

      Compressor oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
    3. Install the O-ring onto the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

    4. Install the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose onto the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 1 cooler cover.

  7. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. CHARGE REFRIGERANT


  11. WARM UP ENGINE


  12. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK
