PROCEDURE
RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
for HFC-134a (R134a):
for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf):
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR
REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER
Remove the 2 clips.
Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 cooler cover.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.
DISCONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HFC-134a(R134a))
Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid pipe sub-assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the liquid pipe sub-assembly.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.
DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))
Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A from the cooler condenser.
Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.
REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.
Remove the 4 bolts and radiator support sub-assembly.
REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 2 claws.
Disengage the 2 guides to remove the cooler condenser assembly.
Note
Do not damage the condenser or radiator when removing the cooler condenser assembly.
