CONDENSER(except 1ND-TV) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 claws, 2 guides and install the cooler condenser into the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not damage the condenser or radiator when installing the condenser.

      Tech Tips

      If a new cooler condenser is installed, add compressor oil to the condenser as follows.

      Capacity
      Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.)

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL8 or equivalent.

2. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A

   
   

   1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.

   2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL8 or equivalent.

   3. Install the O-ring onto the liquid tube.

   4. Install the liquid tube onto the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

3. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (for TMC Made)

   
   

   1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.

   2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the hose joint.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL8 or equivalent.

   3. Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose.

   4. Install the discharge hose onto the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

4. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (for TMMF Made)

   
   

   1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.

   2. Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the hose joint.

      Compressor oil
      ND-OIL8 or equivalent.

   3. Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose.

   4. Install the discharge hose onto the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

5. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 guides and install the cooler cover.

6. INSTALL RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the radiator upper support with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

   2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the hood lock control cable.

   3. Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

   4. Connect the connector.

   5. Install the 2 clips.

7. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

10. CHARGE REFRIGERANT
