AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    If a new cooler evaporator is installed, add compressor oil to the cooler evaporator as follows.

    Capacity
    Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.)
    Compressor oil
    for HFC-134a (R134a)
    ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
    for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
    ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

      Install the cooler evaporator with the cooler thermistor.

    2. A0047FF

      Engage the 4 claws to install the lower heater case.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

    4. A0047RR

      Engage the clamp to install the connector to the lower heater case.

  3. INSTALL DRAIN COOLER HOSE

      Install the drain hose.

  4. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

      Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and fitting surface of the No. 1 cooler evaporator.

      Compressor oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the cooler evaporator.

      Note

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

    3. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      Torque:
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Install the radiator heater unit onto the air conditioning unit.

    2. A0049GQ

      Engage the 3 claws to install the clamp.

  6. INSTALL PTC HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

  7. INSTALL ASPIRATOR PIPE (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Engage the 2 claws to install the aspirator pipe.

  8. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. A004A7AC01
      *a Reference Position

      Align the reference position, and then install the air conditioning radiator damper servo.

    2. Tighten the 3 screws.

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. A0046SSC01
      *a Reference Position

      Align the reference position, and then install the air conditioning radiator damper servo.

    2. Tighten the 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      *a Reference Position

      Align the reference position, and then install the air conditioning radiator damper servo.

    2. Tighten the 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Engage the 3 claws to install the air mix damper control cable.

    2. A00478K

      Install the plate.

  12. INSTALL DEFROSTER DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Engage the 3 claws to install the defroster damper control cable.
