AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the 2 screws and the air conditioning radiator damper servo.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the 2 screws and the air conditioning radiator damper servo.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the 3 screws and air conditioning radiator damper servo.

  4. REMOVE DEFROSTER DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the defroster damper control cable.

  5. REMOVE AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the plate.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the air mix damper control cable.

  6. REMOVE ASPIRATOR PIPE (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the aspirator pipe.

  7. REMOVE PTC HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

  8. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the clamp.

    2. A01VFE6

      Remove the heater radiator unit from the air conditioner radiator.

  9. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and detach the cooler expansion valve.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator.

  10. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE

      Remove the drain cooler hose.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp and remove the connector from the lower heater case.

    2. A01VGCO

      Remove the 3 screws.

    3. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the lower heater case.

    4. A01VDU6

      Remove the cooler evaporator with the cooler thermistor.
