FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY(for 3 Door) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Check the angle of inclination required to lock the retractor.


      1. Gently incline the retractor from its initial position. Check that the belt does not lock when the retractor is inclined 15 ° or less in any direction. Also, check that the belt locks when the inclination of the retractor is 45 ° or more.

        Note

        Do not disassemble the retractor.

        If the operation is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. A01VIMOE01

      Engage the 2 hooks and temporarily install the front seat outer belt assembly with the 2 bolts.

    3. Tighten bolt A and then bolt B.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }
      for bolt A
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }
      for bolt B

      *1 Locking Button

      Connect the pretensioner connector.

    5. Lock the locking button.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

    6. Install the shoulder anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

    7. Connect the floor anchor and install the front seat belt outer bar sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

    8. Check that the ELR locks.

      Note


      • The check should be performed with the front seat outer belt installed.

      • Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat outer belt and the protruding parts of the floor panel to overlap.


      1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

        If the operation is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly.

    9. Remove the 2 bolts and the front seat belt outer bar sub-assembly, disconnect the floor anchor.

  3. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT OUTER BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the floor anchor and install the front seat belt outer bar sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
