Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  6. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT OUTER BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and front seat belt outer bar sub-assembly, disconnect the floor anchor part of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  8. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and the shoulder anchor.

    2. A01VJL4E01

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the locking button.

    3. Disconnect the pretensioner connector.

    5. Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the front seat outer belt assembly.
