  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Note

Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (for TMMF Made)


    1. Engage the 15 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (for TMC Made)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      *1 New Hog Ring
      *2 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      *2 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

  8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  10. INSTALL SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
