  • The procedure described below is for the LHD side. Use the same procedure for both the LHD and RHD side, unless otherwise specified.

  • The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. B0047OT

      Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat track adjusting handle.

  2. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. B0047LY

      Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. B00455S

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Engage the clip to install the screw.

      Engage the hook to install the front seat cushion lower shield RH as shown in the illustration.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (for Driver Side)

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion lower shield.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the front seat airbag assembly LH with 2 new nuts.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Engage the clamp.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

      Temporarily install the front seatback with cover pad.

    2. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

      Engage the 10 hooks.

      Engage the clamp.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. for Rear Side:

        Engage the 6 claws to install the new front seatback cover.

    2. for Front Side:

        Engage the 6 claws to install the new front seatback cover.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front seatback board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. B0045XN

      Install 2 new screws.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD


    1. Engage the 5 hooks to temporarily install the front seat cushion with cover pad.

      for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Engage the guide to install the occupant detection sensor.

      Engage the 7 clamps to install the front seat side airbag wire harness.

      Engage the 4 hooks to install the front seat cushion with cover pad.

      Fasten the hook and loop fastener.

    7. B004691

      Engage the 2 hooks to install the front seatback board band.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Engage the clip and 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  22. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

      Install the vertical adjusting handle LH with the screw.

  23. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  24. INSTALL SEAT COVER STRAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. B0046MP

      Pass the seat cover strap sub-assembly through the slit in the seat back board.

    2. Engage the hook to install the seat cover strap sub-assembly.
